This product should only be installed, used and maintained in accordance with relevant local regulations.
The following points are for guidance only and are in no way intended as a substitute for the above mentioned regulations.

Risk assessments should be carried out prior to installation.

Ensure the power is off and battery is disconnected (disconnect wires at Battery Socket SKT8, see drawing E352), when access lid is open

Take reasonable precautions before lifting any heavy material.

Install the product as illustrated in the Installation Instructions.

Wear appropriate protective clothing and footwear, i.e. safety boots.

Product should only be used in accordance with IR instructions contained herein and in other official IR documents as applicable.

Ensure chassis earth tag is connected to good incoming earth.

This unit should be connected to a "Fused Spur" fitted with 1" x 1/4" BS1362 HBC Ceramic fuse rated at 3A, where a fused spur is not used the unit must be protected with a quick blow 3A 250V High Breaking Capacity (HBC) Ceramic Fuse.

Product should not be installed in locations were extreme conditions are present, such locations may include the following;

- Environments where excessive dust, moisture, vibration, flammable gases are present, also those with corrosive or explosive atmospheres.
- In vehicles, on board ships or aircraft, in tropical countries or at altitudes greater than 2000m
- Where ingress of water is possible, e.g. if the product is installed on the outside of a building it should be sheltered from the elements.
